world’s best climate. The Costa Rican Tarrazu comes from the Tarrazu region
in the South Pacific area of Costa Rica. This is the area around
the small township of San Marcos.
The mountainous area is exceptionally conducive to cultivation of
coffee beans. Shade grown at an altitude of approximately 5000 feet, the Arabica beans mature slowly and have a unique flavor. The Tarrazu highlands have the greatest number of coffee trees per hectare at such a high elevation.
